Having experienced the stereo first hand I can say whoa.  My ears are still ringing.
The wake was downright scary.  The wedge seemed to really give the peak of the wake a kick.
The ride was so stable and the room in the cockpit was huge.  I wasn't sure if the titan was going to actually make it up the ramp with the boat hooked on though.  I have never peeled out like that before without actually meaning to.
Saweeeeet ride.
Thanks again festivus.

Um, did you say family of 8? I do believe at some point you disavowed being part of the redneck tabernacle crowd. No more denials baby, the truth is out. Also, I know your boss. I agree with you, screw him.

Oh yeah, after throwing out the insults, I gotta say, I can't wait to try out that new ride. Also, I wish we were there with you this weekend for the festivities. Lund has been freaking out trying to figure out how he could possibly get there. He doesn't think any price would be too much for me to pay to get him a flight. Have fun and congrats to the little lizard catcher.

thanks for the compliments Javman and Bitz, I too wish you could be here this weekend.
Tomorow morning, 6am at the boat ramp.
My legs are still trembling from Tuesday, but a small dose of analgesics and I'm good to go.  Or else break out that sky ski.

Fest,
Here's a pic of the little box I made for my boat. It is basically three pac lc1's in a box. In other words it is three dual potentiometers. They connect between your head unit RCA outputs and your amps. If you can plug in RCA's you can install it yourself.

I put mine in a piece of 1x2 rectangular aluminum tubing that I had left over from a light bar I made. I did that because I wanted to make a standalone unit that I could stick to the bottom of the dash. I had an anodized aluminum faceplate made for it. The letters are engraved and can be any color you want.

I also put a port for my Ipod shuffle in there so I could have a removeable 20 hrs of music that won't ever skip.

It doesn't require any power or ground connection, just the RCA audio connections.

Depending on where you would want to mount it, and what other controls, jacks etc. you might want on there, I could make you something in an enclosure like I made or a faceplate with the controls mounted to it that you could flush mount somewhere.

It's just something I do for a hobby, build stuff for myself or my friends when I can't get what I want commercially or want something different.  Cost of something like I made in an enclosure would be around 150$, something simpler like a flush mounted plate with audio controls for three separate sources would be more like 60-75$ depending on how fancy you wanted to make the engraving, what material you wanted to use, etc. for the faceplate.

Does the Ipod Shuffle charge while it's plugged in?
That would be awsome.  Maybe I can get my stereo guys to do a black vinyl tribal design to wrap it in.  So you have an attenuator for the tower speakers, then another for the interior, and one for the subs?  Probly 3 is all  you'd need, right?
Let me check out the stereo area on my boat and see where the best mounting place would be, then we can design it.
Sweet.  Thanks

Oh, I got the news clip from our outing on Tuesday.  It is a little blurb on the weather section.  It has me crashing and then a shot of the boat.  Can I post video on here somehow?
Pete- do you loose any signal strength with the rca couplers etc?

I think you can post the video right to the photo gallery, give it a shot.

You lose a little high end if you have runs longer than 20 ft. This device is basically a 12K analogue (audio taper) dual potentiometer, for the stereo geeks.

I put a shuffle charger in the box, but the shuffle won't play when it's charging. It is the way it is designed. So, I'll probably put a switch on the side so I can turn off the charger when I want to play it, and still be able to charge it up. The charge on the shuffle is supposed to last 12 hrs, mine goes at least 8 hrs. Long enough for one day.

The shuffle WILL play off external batteries, so I may add a holder for 2 aaa batteries and ditch the charger.

You can do whatever controls you want. I have three outputs from my head unit, for boat tower and sub speakers. One control for each. If you wanted a pair of RCA jacks for audio in or out, no problema. Or a 1/8 mini plug or whatever. It's nice to be able to link boat systems together with an rca cable

Pete- You rock.  Let me get my barin juices flowing and decide what I think the best way would be, then we can collaberate.
