First time out.
« on: May 29, 2006, 18:46:03 pm »
Took my new to me SX to Berryessa for Sat.,Sun..  It runs like a dream and handled the rough water
way better than my 91 Euro F3 ever did.
I have a feeling the ballast drain tubes are disconnected.  I saw that was recommended for
winterization and this boat was hardly used and a consignment boat at local boat store.
My question is... how do you open the service hatch to get to the ballast tanks where the drain
tubes start?  There are pull handles in the floor but the panels seem to be screwed down with no
screws visible in carpet.
My neighbor just e-mailed some pics, so when I get a minute, I'll send them along.  It's an 01 SX
with trampoline top, low hours [?] , nice tower fitting cover, etc.  Also, where is the hour meter?

That floor is a bugger. You just pull those handles up. I usually put something around the handles so I can get some grip and it is all I can do to get em up. Good luck, they're not screwed down. As for the hour meter it is on the computer. Push the selector buttons until you can choose "engine" and you will find it under that somewhere. I can't remember the exact keystrokes. Its not very intuitive.

Welcome to your SX!
