2 boarders
« on: June 14, 2006, 14:36:54 pm »
So I haven't chimed in for quite some time...all this toyota stuff makes my head spin, what with MDC's and Oil pressure readings....
Do very many of you ride or pull 2 wakeboarders at once?  I know Bitzco has dabbled, and I think I may this weekend.  Any tips or pointers, and lets keep it boat brand friendly.  The first person that says my boat doesn't have the hole shot for that, well.....let's just play nice.

When one rider falls, the other rider should let go right away.  This will make it a lot easier when you circle around.  That way you don't have to worry about two riders too far apart in a high traffic part of the lake.

We start the short rider from right behind the boat the long rider from off to the side, this way you can tighten rope at sane time.Short meaning high, and long meaning low

Why would you start them both high- I have never owned an tower before but when waterskiing I have pictures of me two other of my friends (3 people) sking at one time all from the (low) tow hook on a ski boat?  We tried using the same rope length and started on left, center, right-

High /Low is easy to cross, but if the people have done it before go both high minus one link,or add one link .my rope comes @75' I remove one 5' link to make it70'.

well, we didn't get the chance to throw 2 boarders out there, but we did do two sky skiis.  It was pretty sweet.  I'll post a pic when I get some back.

here are a few pics from our trip, the two sky ski thingy, our 247 surf wake (did you see the 247 was the boat of the year from motorboat or powerboat magazine?) and a sick picture of my daughter on some righteous water, no kid deserves water like that, why wasn't that me out there, and what the hexk was I thinking?

Fest, that's a beautiful lake. Where'dat?

No idea if this is good or bad info, but we've always made a point to have the lines equal length and both from the tower. Try to get the riders separated before you pull slack out. If they're right next to eachother, idle and have them drift apart, then hit it. Personally, I'm not a big fan for safety reasons, but it is fun for a while.

TFreak- I agree- it is sort of a novelty thing to do, but you are really limited due to safety concerns.  It was fun though.  I still want to try it on a wakeboard, I am much better controlled on a board than that sky ski.
The lake in those pictures is Gournsey Res. in Wyoming.
