Too Little Use
« on: August 03, 2006, 04:07:28 am »
Thinking of buying an 01 SX with 49 hours. I don't know if the 49 hours is good or used to little. Are there any issues with such little use and almost no use in the last two years? The dealer knows nothing about the boat and was wondering if anybody knows of a good mechanic to check out the boat in the Detroit area.

I bought an 2001 S-22 with about 50 hours on it last year.  With about 100 hours now I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase.  I have the typical minor problems associated with epics but you can't beat it for the money.  If you follow the good advice of the 1000 pound heads (smart guys) on this site you can do most of the work yourself.
I think you would be well served to get a good boat mechanic to look over it. Good luck

I bought a 1999 E21 last year with 65 hours on it. The only way I could be happier is if I were doing something illegal-
Don't be so humble, you're not that great.

Bought my 1999 E22 in April with 73 hours on it. Over 120 now with no issues. Has run great since the lake test!

Thanks for the replys everyone. I've decided to buy the boat. Next week when I get it, I will post some pics and add my name to the registry from Southern California.
