I was gonna buy this boat.  Glad you did and not me!  Only kidding :)  Possesion is 90% of ownership- you are in the drivers seat!  You should be able to do something with the DMV without his consent if you have a bill of sale.

If you are still looking, my boat is up for sale. It's a 2000 Epic 22 with boarding package and tower. Upgraded stereo and ballast, LED lights, tower lights, racks. Pair of Bose 151 tower speakers w/amp. 12" sub. Tandem trailer with spare.
