Gotta Squeek

After putting the X-22 in the water for the first time this year, I heard a squeek coming from the rear of the boat when in drive.  It only does it at idle speed.  When I begin to accelerate, it subsides.  Do I need to grease the drive shaft anywhere, or is my packing dry and just needs to be used a couple of more times this year before it disappears?  What about spraying a lubricant underneath the boat where the drive shaft enters the bottomside of the boat?  Thanks guys.

It's probably your cutlass bearing, which is where the shaft passes through the strut just before the prop. I don't think it needs to be lubed. It's supposed to be replaced every 400 hrs on a ski boat, I know of nobody that's ever done it. Should be OK with a little run time, its probably due to a little light corrosion on the shaft. Spray some WD 40 on it.
