I saw that yesterday.  It's in the Dallas area.  Is this an Epicmarine member?

Don't think so. That boat could be a real bargain, it looks dead mint. They really spent a lot of time building the SX's, mine is so solid.

I added this sighting to the registry:)

My guess is they took it on trade (for a really low dollar amount).  Assuming it runs well, this would be a great deal for someone that really wants an SX.  If I didn't already have my boat, I would definitely go take a look at this one.  I don't know if it will sell for that price, but if so, that's a sick deal.

I would've bought this one in a heartbeat if it weren't for my wife divorcing me immediately thereafter. ::) It went for $20,200. What a killer price. Congrats to the new Epic owner, maybe he'll show up here.

I bid on it, but lost it the last 25 seconds.  No more time to bid.  Was going to sell my X-22 and keep that one.  Oh well! Congrats on the new owner ;)

At Last!  I have finally joined the ranks of the 'Epic Elite.'  For years I've regularly visited this site, read the posts, looked at the pics and imagined having my very own Epic .  Well.....Today is truly my day!  I'm picking up my 2001 SX in Dallas today!...................still scratchin' my head about how I landed such a sweet deal.  Could turn it for a profit but wouldn't dream of letting this baby go!  Gonna enjoy my new toy!

Arrowheadsaver, I'd offer my condolences to edging you out on the bid but you already have a sweet X22.  Thank you for offering your congratulations.  Thanks to you to, epicfire!

Happy to join you guys.  I'll do my best to contribute to the group.

Wow, what a steal.  Nice buy.  So what lake do you plan on riding on? I am usually on Ray Roberts (White and Blue S22) riding my skyski.

I live in San Antonio (Had to drive 281 miles ~ one-way to pick it up).  I be primarily on Canyon Lake or Medina Lake.

I thought about driving 1000 miles to pick it up, if I had a buyer for my E21 I likely would have.

At that price it is an absolute steal.  With gas approaching $4 it makes it even more worthwhile compared to the "other" inboard boats that are much thirstier.

AlrightGuy,

Nice to see there will be another SX in the area.  I am also in San Antonio (I just moved here about a month ago).  That was an incredible deal on that boat.  I look forward to seeing it out on the lake sometime.  Perhaps we can get some folks together this year for a Texas Round-Up, especially since last years got cnx from the floods.

Wow, I was out of pocket for a couple of days, Thunder Bay, On. What a deal on that boat, glad it went to someone who appreciates the boat. I'm glad it went cheap. All I woulda done with the boat is turn it over at cost for someone who really wanted it. Alrightguy, you hit the Lotto with that boat in more ways than one. Glad to have you here, that's one huge benefit of owning a Toyota, we have the best owner community in this industry. Really. Look at the content of this site. Try to find a boat site with exploded drawings of all boat components and Paypal click to buy of whatever is available. The level of documentation we have is unprecedented.

Not that you will need it, the boats are almost annoyingly reliable. I feel guilty changing clean oil after a season:), Tossing perfectly good impellers and fuel filters. Even the carpet comes back, I don't care how dirty it is. You might have to use a hose and a scrubrush, but it will come back. Even after Cheetos.

You Texas guys have to MAN THE F* UP and have a get together. I will attend and and might even tow my boat.  I might even drag Lesman and Ramblin. Maybe Breakaway can get us a badass loaner tow vehicle and we can all come with one boat? I'm just sayin......Plus I got stupid airline miles, ... Derek.
