Last year a friend dropped his wakeboard on the side vinyl of my boat. It put about a 1/2" slice in the interior. After drowning him (j/k) I went on ebay and bought a vinyl repair kit w/ heating tool for like $30 bucks. I followed the directions and it worked sweet! Not perfectly new looking, but a clean fix that doesn't stand out too bad. Maybe this can fix some of your smaller tears and then you can get the bigger ones fixed professional.
On another note...I would have to agree that "Phenominal" might have been a bad choice of words *and* not everyone has a nightclub connection for hook-ups on repairs! I do agree that your boat is rare, like all of ours are. In order for POTENTIAL future EPIC owners to respect/trust us when we sell our boats, we need to be upfront and honest. This is particularly important since we are scattered all over the US/Canada etc...
Buyers...Don't be RETARDS!! If you drive like 600 miles to buy something (Boat, Car, Airplane, Island or whatever) you better get your ducks in a row first to reduce your risk. I would have personally asked for some specific pictures of the boat. Next I would have confirmed that the boat was running (i.e not winterized still) and that the seller was going to be able to take me out on the lake in it.
When I bought my boat, I used Escrow.com. First I had the seller take the boat to a professional boat dealer to inspect and give me the full no-shit rundown. I had the seller fix the minor issues reported (blower, timing belt). I put the cash in escrow and then they gave the go ahead to the seller to ship me the boat (at my expense Uship.com). The boat arrived and I had like 72hrs to test it on the lake and then either buy or decline (ship back at my expense). Then escrow either paid the seller or gave me my money back (after the boat was returned and seller gave go-ahead). Well you can guess how it turned out because i'm the proud owner of a "Near Mint" Epic. (This is better than phenominal by the way) haha! LMAO! Just play'n folks.
Well...sorry to the buyer that this boat wasn't for you! Stick around, when you find THE ONE, you will be glad you got it and this community is better than any I have seen. This is actually the first bickering I have seen since I joined like 2 years ago. Sorry to the seller, good luck and sorry your leaving the group. And sorry for saying shit earlier...and again just now. Flyn.
