Re-installing Rub Rail
« on: July 08, 2009, 19:25:57 pm »
I had to take the rub rail off for a gelcoat repair on the bow and I'm having some trouble re-installing it.  I've heard that you can soak the rubrail it in hot water to make it more flexible, but I only have half of it taken off.  Whats the easiest way to get the rail back in??

never heard of the hot water method. try a heat gun on low, keep ur distance from the rail or it will start to melt.

the sun, a heat gun, and a lot of elbow grease and it popped in just fine. Thanks
