NEW PLUGS???
« on: June 04, 2004, 03:52:56 am »
I was out last weekend and my epic was running a little rough.  I was told that it could be the plugs.  I need to know what type of plug to purchase.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Go to your local Lexus dealer and ask for the most expensive ones they carry. Believe it was going to be like $120. Ended up just running through a tank or two and it's pretty much back to normal without changing plugs. With plugs rated to 1000 hours, you can't be expecting them to go bad every time you get some bad fuel.

If anything, pull them and clean them a little.

I just can't stay away. ;)

Ditto Derek's advice. I had the problem a couple weekends ago...I could have sworn it was the plugs. Fuel was low so I added some more, and within about a half-hour of running on the new fuel, all was back to normal.  It may just be bad gas. Wait a tank before dropping the cash.

Denso sk20r11. My first ones lasted 455 hours, they were NGKs. The boat runs much better on the densos. I bought them from the local Toyota dealer for 12.50 ea.
