Alternator Replacement or Rebuild
« on: May 26, 2022, 11:13:02 am »
What seems to be the consensus on replacing Alternator, are most people just getting them rebuilt?

The guy that sold me my X22 was trying to tell me to go get a Lexus one from AutoZone, but it seems like they aren't spark proof/coast guard rated so I don't really want to do that unless I absolutely have to.

I could try to have it rebuilt, but I was wondering if there were any good marine replacements people were using?

I was really hoping not to miss out on boating this memorial day weekend....

Does it need to be taken apart to be painted?

definitely recommend the factory alternator from TMS. I would have mine rebuilt, will be the third one I have had on there. THey go bad from sitting.
