Fuel Pressure Regulator
« on: July 31, 2022, 07:22:01 am »
I've searched the threads but I've identified the issue with my boat to a bad fuel pressure regulator.  The part number on mine says it's a Denso 23280-50060.  Apparently not the same as the LS400 fuel pressure regulators because the cars have a vacuum line running from the intake/throttle body to the regulator (Denso 23280-50050 I believe).  Anyone know if I can use the LS400 regulator and cap off the vacuum tube?  Or better yet, where to fine a proper replacement?  I'm going on vacation on 8/3 (four days from posting this) and I'd really like to have this fixed prior to leaving.

FYI the original issue is that the boat starts up, and drives great until I go back into idle and it dies.  Very hard to start after that.  Clamping the return hose to the tank fixes this.  High pressure fuel pump was replaced in the last few day before realizing clamping the return hose would fix the issue.  It also didn't sound very good.

The damper is usually ok. But if the wrong serrated internal washer is not used the engine starves for fuel. Also never touch Phillips screw.

search 2320746010 for damper Do not number

Thanks for the reply but my question is specifically regarding the regulator not the dampener. The LS400 motors have a vacuum line running to the regulator where as there regulator on our boats have no port for intake vacuum.  I would guess that higher vacuum results in more fuel pressure where the Epic motors have fixed pressure.
