This is too cool. Welcome, Dave.  And thank you for setting the info straight, and providing us with whatever information you can about our boats.  I absolutely love my X22. Just got back from a day on the water over in eastern washington...the water was glass, but just as I built up the balls to jump in the water (43 degrees)... the clouds rolled in.  Darn.  I'm meeting up with another Epic owner and we are going to go wakeboarding on Lake Washington next weekend, and I can't friggin wait.  Though I don't think I'd be as excited if I were in any other boat out there (see, I did have a point...sort of).  Thank you for designing the boat that defines my summers, and has me fiending for more over the winter months!!

THE Dave!
Thanks for chiming in.  We (I liberally speak for the Epic community) thank you for giving us this great product.
Hope to have you along, at least peeking over our collective shoulders, for a long time.

The Sleuth is in the house!

Ain't the world an interesting place, and aren't people (or maybe just boat, and car, and every other type of  retailer) just the sleeziest bunch of lying crap ever. I went down to the Executive Boat and Yacht Brokerage (actaully just a dirt parking lot with a small building and a bunch of used boats - very reminiscent of a low end used car dealership) to check out the sadly stripped and reassembled by POS Toyota S-22. Executive Boat is a consignment shop and  didn't tell me where the S-22 came from; however, I looked at it inside and out and it is the famed stripped Toyota. Its a little less stripped than the last time I saw it because all the parts are attached now (or at least they seemed to be). They had a mismatched blue bow cover on it with a black cockpit cover. It was cleaned up as well as could be, but it still is what it is.

Anyway, I pretended to be there to see this sweet little Malibu on the lot but just "noticed" the Toyota. The guy said it was a "great" boat, but knew almost nothing about it when I asked questions. He did tell me it had a Toyota engine and that if I pushed it the owner would probably come down a couple thousand on the price. He said he also had a "yellow Toyota" for sale for like 37K, but it wasn't on the lot. He said the yellow one is "in much better shape."

The guy also told me that he had a 23 foot Tige that had just come in as a bank repo and was a super bargain at about 29K. This was the boat he really wanted to sell me. He told me that, like the Toyota, it had a Lexus "Scorpion" engine in it (what a load of crap) and "that system, I can't remember what its called, that pumps water in and adds weight to the boat for a bigger wake." Can you believe it. A boat salesman that doesn't even know what Perfect Pass is.

In the end, all I've got to say is, stay away from the EOS POS, the stripped toyota they are trying to get someone else to sell for them, and Executive Boat and Yacht. Is anyone honest out there?

It's BS he knows at least something about the boat.
I called and talked to chris briefly about it and he played stupid with me
and became very perturbed when I wanted information on the owner and the serial
number.  I also mentioned that I thought it might be a stripped down and rebuilt version and the graphics were atypical.  He became just plain hostile.

What a Liar

Javanxx,

Nice to have you on the site. So, I'm wondering from your screenname if you are a porno star, a guy who likes to give hugs and kisses, or just a doubly eXXtreme dude? Anyway, we're hoping you will sometime soon join the ranks of the few, the proud, the Toyota owners. You have already rescued many children from a sinking SX, so you know the greatest possible pitfall. Plus, if you get yourself a Yota and become a regular on the site, Festivus and I can regularly mock you as we do each other. You may be a porno king, but I will always be in your debt for pulling all of our kids out of the water. By the way, are you in porn or do you just sell it?

Javanxx,

Perhaps my crew (on the right) could be in one of your movies.

Oh, I mean on the left. When she (it) lays next to me on the bedframeless bed it is always on the right.

It's not us, it's Bitzy. All that clean livin' messes with your mind. He does have keenly tuned senses, so he's good to have around to send in to unscrupulous boat dealers to get the scoop on suspect boats.

Javman, whip out about 18k and see if those idiots don't jump on it. It would be a lot of boat for the money, and every Epic deserves a decent owner. There's nothing about that boat that couldn't be made right, as long as it runs. Think of it as a really sweet girl that was kind of a slut in high school.

Look, Executive Yacht has another one. Just a bit pricey ain't it. Someone could offer them like 32K for it maybe.

If by chance someone is interested, you could find out about this boat from the guys at Marine Products.

Was just thinking...if this boat's still around, it'd be great to get the hull number so we can mark our registry!!!!
