Never noticed that, Pete - he's got four towers. Maybe it's two towers and two rod holders? where's his rack? Maybe Chris A. could hook him up with some of them nylon ones cheap?

I'm pretty sure it's 4 towers.  You should see the tracking fin underneath there.

Its four towers. with the awesome power of this machine I can easily pull four boarders at a time. I am now in the midst of ordering PP for this fine ride as well. Eat yer hearts out.

I don't think you can get PP for an outboard.  You may have to convert to an IO or something.

;D I'm pumped because after 2 weeks of constant torture with Accuski, I have made the decision to add perfect pass to my 02 SX.  I checked out the install on the Mx page and have read a lot of the posts in the forum, however it seems the SX is a little more difficult to install than the others (due to the paddlewheel location and tight quarter under the floor).  Does anyone have any good pictures of their install in a SX or S model?  Any war stories or things you would do differently?  Looking for any good advice or techniques for making this easier.  Was the wiring the same?  Seems crazy that I will be drilling a 2" hole in my boat, but after hearing the oops thread, I think I would rather do it than take it to someone else who might charge me to jack it up!

Hey, good luck on the install.  Way to have courage.  I started the Opps thread.  I think everything worked out in the long run but I probably should have just done it myself.

When I moved my paddlewheel, I ended up putting it closer to the V-Drive location even though I have a DD (I was worried about not being able to run with oodles of ballast in the trunk).  I also had to modify the throttle bracket so it had a shorter radius.  I was not able to get truly wide open at the full throttle position without this change.

My only advice is to check and re-check the location of the hole before you drill.  I ended up being so close to the oil pan that there was barely enough room to install the sensor.  Happily, I was able to get it in.  You need the full length of the sensor to be clear above the bulkhead fitting to position it before sliding it in.

I am broke.

Personally man.....I paid 1100 for Wakeboard pro, and 250 for the install....and I'm glad I did.

Would have been a pain in the arse doing it myself.  I say....if your not a pro....like some of these dudes on this board.....take it to one.

Marine Products (the old Toyota Dealer) in Salt lake quoted the Wakeboard Pro installed for $1800.  Thats when I went shopping the Centurion dealer did it for $1300.  It would have been a bargain if it would have been done right. :-[

Na, if I was able to do it myself, any of y'all can.  It actually was a really easy install, once I got all the Accuski cables taken off.

And I second the advice to put the DD location back further than PP recommends.  I put it right where they say to, and when I get it in rough water the paddle lifts out and sends the thing into convulsions.  If I did it again, I would mount it more below (or nearly below) the transmission at the back of the engine.

I just joined the Perfect Pass ranks.

One question - what do you use for the throttle cable bracket when you take off the Accuski bracket.  If I try to use the Accuski quick change bracket, it seems to not line up correctly.  The holes on the bracket also don't match up.  When I review the pictures of the successful PP installs, the cable bracket looks different than mine.

Couldn't find the part in the parts listing.  Any ideas?

Brad

Installed PP on my SX about a month ago, I couldn't find any pics of accuski that looked like mine. Seems like they changed it every time they put it on a boat. ???? Shoot me a picture of your throttle linkage, if its like mine I can show/tell you what I did.

I'll see if I can get you some pics of how marine products installed it. Also, when I got it and ran it the first time, the settings were all jacked up. It searched around and speed fluctuated like 8 mph. Once I changed KDW to 160 and nn or mm or whatever that is to 70, it works like a charm.

Not exactly like mine but close enough

WARNING - this description and photos is gonna be ugly. my digital camera took a swim.

Take the steel bracket (yellow circled 1st pic) off the accuski black bracket. mount it in the same holes same direction that the accuski black bracket was attached to the factory engine bracket ( pic 2). You no longer use the accuski black bracket. bend the factory bracket to wards the center of the engine (arrow) to align it better with the throttle. I only used one bolt to hold the steel bracket to the factory bracket. you can then attach the cable to the steel bracket. I think this was Terry's pic, he didn't have accuski. It wont look exactly like this but close.

If i can beg, borrow or steal a digital camera ill get some pics for ya

Brad,

I have PP on the way!  Have you already drilled the paddle wheel hole?  Where did you/are you drilling the hole?  Will you take some pics along the way?  I also have an SX and can use as much visual help as possible.

Thanks
