Heater add on
« on: August 27, 2005, 17:00:28 pm »
Is it difficult to add a heater to an Epic x22?  How about a shower?  Buying a boat with neither, but really want them.

Look around in the parts figures for starters to see a list of components for each. Both are already pretty much wired up as far as the dash goes. I know there's a shower pump power line in the trunk down by the rudder tiller arm dealio.

When I sold my E21 Ramblin Wreck, it had the installation manuals to the optional heater and shower. (the boat has neither, which makes it odd to include the manuals) I could not help but to read them, it all seems pretty simple.

Epics have the provisions, wiring, panel cutouts, etc. for heater and shower. I would recommend buying the kits straight from Toyota, you'll probably get a better deal that way and the stuff will fit. It will definitely require a lot of plumbing to do either. I'm trying to get Wreck to scan those manuals that Breakawaydayze references, but I don't  think he's completely recovered from his self-induced Tazer experience:)

Oh Cyclone,

You gotta tell us about Breakawaydayze taser experience.  As a Taser instructor, I am always interested in personal tasing incidents and this one sounds good.

Once tased is all you will ever want to get!!!

And I've got video of my guys getting tased.

Wreck's "experience" is here on the site under the category "other stuff" or something like that.

Whoa - before the legend grows, I posted the story but didn't "live it". It is a story I read a while back and can still count on when I need to laugh. Sorry for the confusion.

As to the info I promised to scan. The last time I was at the lake, I gathered everything and placed it in a neat stack on the dresser. It was in the same neat stack when I returned to Hartwell this weekend. However, with annual maintenance time creeping up on me on all the little lake toys, I stuffed it back into the Epic folder, threw all my folders in the car and will hopefully go through everything before I leave Atlanta again on Wednesday.

Cyclone, what is the drill? Do I scan everything and email to you or Lesman? Is PDF format ok?

I looked in my docs, and I have a copy of the shower / heater install docs.? They do not look to be specific to Epic Boats.? I also have a TSB (technical Service Bulletin) for the digital display.? I will mail them to Pete today, (scanner on the fritz)  Anyway, Here is a picture of my S22 That I NEVER GET TO USE!

Breakaway, before you go to the trouble of sending the Digital Display manual, check the Maintenance/TSB section and make sure the "Digital Instrument Installation Guide" is not the same thing.

We've got a good bit of stuff there. One of these days I'm gonna scan my complete S22 Owners manual and post it up.

Oh, and PLEASE post that pic in the photos section so we get that fat-*ss cheerleader pic off the front page. It's screwing up the layout anyway b/c it's too tall.   >:( >:(

Lesman,

I was told there was no manual for the s22, I guess someone lied to me.  If you can post it I would be in your debt.
