I did put an even coat of silicone on, but am not sure if I pressed down hard enough to get the air bubbles out.  I will take the boat out and try it once and that will let me know.  So the boat needs to be in the water for the depth finder to get a read?  Thanks for your help.

Well guys, I put the boat in the water last night after resiliconing the depth finder to the hull of th boat and I still get BAD STATUS on the accuski digital panel.  Any new suggestiongs?  I noticed that the wiring runs along the exhaust to the back of the boat and then up the side to the dash.  Would that have anything to do with the bad reading?  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks

It sounds like the transducer is bad or one of the two boxes under the dash. Probably have to buy both or all parts from Keyser Medallion or Toyota. They are commonly used marine parts, used on other makes.

What is that going to run me?  Just would like to get an idea to see if it is worth it to me or not.  Thanks for the information.

Turn battery switch off then on/ Listen after turn key on for power to go to unit. Listen for ticking sound out of the transducer. If no ticking maybe unit lost power or ground. I have units in stock you could also updgrade to a water and air with new unit.
