Hey Wreck,

Got to looking at some pics of your E-21.? I know you have been lookin at some of the bargain 22's floating around, any chance of buyin your 21 back??

Whoa, Breakaway, you caught me totally offguard with that one! I simply LOVE the pocket rocket. I have been looking at the boats as they go up for sale but truthfully cannot even keep track of the different models and how they differ as I just enjoy looking. As my wife says, "It doesn't matter where you get your appetizers as long as you eat at home!" However, never say never and if I were to sell, my preference would be to return it to you. Right now I am just consumed with the weather reliably warming up so I can de-winterize it. I just want to hear the engine again.

As long as we hijacked this thread (temporarily), I do want you to keep that keen eye of yours open for a truck. While I would LOVE a Tundra (not the full quad cab but the one that you can squeeze some legless midgets in the back seat) I will consider others at a bargain basement price (some things aren't going to change!). No big hurry - I just find myself getting too old and lazy to lug my utility trailer up from behind the house and want to reliably pull the water toys. Ideally catch it before you run it through. As a private sale, I could avoid the 7% sales tax. Whew, at least I got my mind off that other subject-

Fest - the thread is all yours again!!
Don't be so humble, you're not that great.

Wreck,

If you have an interest in a new Tundra, the time has never been better than now.  Toyota is offering the best incentives now than ever before, especially if you consider a lease.  I leased my new Tundra Double Cab 4x4 TRD bad boy, fully loaded with moonroof for $350/mo, trading my 05 Tundra similarly equipped with $4000 neg equity and a $610 payment. Toyota dealers on the west coast are taking very skinny deals on all Tundra's.  I just sold one for a huge profit of, let me think here, NOTHING.  But we have another Tundra on the road burning gas and we have earned another 07 Tundra, when they come out next year.

Fest,

You will get over the buyers remorse shortly after you take delivery, everyone gets it.  I had it when I picked up my S22.  That Malibu is a beautiful boat and I'm sure you will absolutely love it.

Dennis:

How can I get one of those deals on a Tundra or Sequoia?

Maybe I'll have to come shopping in Salem!

So it's a week post pictures, I am feeling a little better, but I am sure the remorse will hit again when I write that check....ouch.
I fired up my S22 for the first time this spring yesterday.  I wanted to make sure all of my PM last fall was truly PM and not the opposite.   She started right up and cooperated with everything I asked.  Why am I selling that thing, it has been nothing less than great.  At least it is staying in the "family"

Brad,

Email me and I see what I can do to help if you are serious about a new Tundra or Sequoia.  The current incentives end today, but I think they will be as good if not better.  I will know for sure what the incentives are on Tues 4/4.

The new Sequoia will follow the new Tundra which is scheduled to be introduced in January 2007. No word on timetable.

Got my new fat sacs on order.  Fly High Pro-x (2) 400# V-Drive Fat sacs and 1000 triange bow sac.
Hope I don't need a new prop to push it all :)

It has the factory 4 blade on it.  I haven't ran that much weight, but I did have 16 people in it once, mostly kids, for about a 20 minute ferry ride to the beach.  Now that's a wake.  I think I am going to go with the acme stuff on my new boat.  They are sending the dealership a few to try out, including a beta prop especially for that boat.

K, I'll try it out with whats on it and upgrade if needed :)  Anybody else have any experience with the factory 4 blade on the S22 and 1800 lbs ballast?

Stainless OJ 4-blade. Usually 1500 plus three or four people is no problem. I've gone to 3K once and I thought it was a total pig, but the guys who know better said it wasn't doing too bad at all. That being said, your CG will be a lot farther forward even with a partially-filled bow sack than mine because your aft 800 pounds is at least two feet farther forward than my 750. Also, the CG of your triangle sack is farther forward than that of my Bump in the walkway. What this means of course is that your 1800 will probably plane and hold speed better than my 1500. You're golden.

The best news is that when the time's right, you'll be able to fill the crud out of your bow sack and put a 600 or so in the trunk...2400 is a really fun wake - still clean but hard and well defined. Be prepared for a little wait getting up, though.

Big thing is to get ahold of a GPS and run your boat to WOT empty - record rpm and GPS. Mine with the stock 3-blade and the stainless 4-blade were similar - 43 mph and a few hundred shy of 6KRPM. If your MPH and RPM numbers are lower than those, you'll probably be looking for a prop before long.

Thanks Derek!  Thats good to hear.  Ya, I'll probably put a 750 in the trunk when I feel like I am ready for 540s and Whirly Birds lol.  Oh, I found out yesturday that the enjine + transmission only weighs 650lbs

Anyone have the Acme on their S22?
