Pete, I'm stoked you came up, and was even more stoked that you (and everybody else) were up for partying all weekend long.  That never happens.  Can't say I've had a 10am Saturday til 5pm Sunday session in a long time!!!  But I've got more Canadian funny money than I know what to do with, thanks to your way over-generous donations.  Thank you.   And I can't wait to see the pics!   Hopefully we get to do it again soon.  Maybe next time Terry will put his panties on and join us?

Cyclone- Check out a website called uship.com --- I think its parent company is ebay.  When i bought my jetskis early this pass summer I found them in utah.  I got a couple estimate to ship them and one was  1800 to get them back to tennessee.  At that point I was going to drive out there and pick them up myself.  I ran across uship and found a boat broker dude (not sure his exact title) he was from like Virgina and was taking a boat to Salt Lake City.  Long story short he was comming back "empty."  We were able to hook up and he only charged me 400 bucks and he was insured so... Which basically covered his gas for the entire trip.  I don't know where you are at or where you are going but I am out of school for four weeks-  Hell- I can tow a boat anywhere for 1800- haha...  I guess the boat is in WA so thats a bit of a drive for me.  Anyways, I had luck with uship.com  but it has been about 8 months I haven't really heard anything else about it- good or bad...   hope that help in saving you some money

Cyclone...
just wanted to second what tenn162000 is saying.  I used uship.com when I bought my x-22 a few months back.  Most other places were quoting upwards of $2K to ship from Orlando to San Antonio.  I had people making bids on uship for as low as $800.  I used a broker who charged $950, because he was retired military, and he actually drove another 150 miles outside of SA for free to bring it to my house.  I would at least login and give it a shot... it won't cost you anything to put your shipment up for bids.  You can email me if you want the exact person I used to ship my boat.  It arrived about 1 day early and was in perfect shape...(with the exception of some road dust).  Hope that helps.

Wow, thanks you guys for the awesome info. I'll definitely give it a shot.

Can't WAIT. It has been in the low 70's all week. Terry's selling me his dry suit too, so I'd be out there. SX has heater and shower::))

Soon to have big ass stereo, three auxiliary sacks, bigger pumps:)

Yes, as a matter of fact. I've got a bunch of quotes, some are pretty durn cheap. Like 1300$, and the guy has a truck in Wash. the first week of Jan.

All the cheap quotes are from guys with no references. I wouldn't mind checking out someone who's done it for someone here, Flyin 2001, post his name, let me get a quote from him.

It is boat show season, lots of boats moving around the country right now. Good time to ship.

Cyclone,

The guy I went with has a uship name of "dg2000".  His name is Doug and is a retired Marine Gunny Sgt.  Really stand up guy and actually delivered my boat 2 days early.  The guy I bought my boat from actually had a bunch of new stereo equipment for the boat that was still in boxes, the Gunny put them in his cab and delivered all in perfect condition.  Hope this helps some.  Remind him that he shipped my boat for me (Capt in Del Rio, Tx), tell him I referred you to him for a honest price and see if that helps get you a reasonable quote.  Again..hope this helps and good luck!

Cyclone,

I would also recommend the guy that pulled Flyn's boat.  I had a boat trailered from Iowa about 2 years ago, and the company that I used was insured, bonded, etc...  Made me feel like I had a sweet set-up, until I realized they just sub-contracted to drivers in my area.  The driver I got, did an OK job, but the whole thing was a lot more stressful with a middle man.  I would strongly suggest getting someone that will actually be pulling the boat themselves (like the Gunny Sgt.).  Best of luck.

I did just that, put the boat on Uship.com, had a bunch of responses but the big shipping companies were cheap but vague on details, how to load the trailer etc. I went with a guy that had gobs of great feedback, he also happens to live 10 minutes from me. I met him on Sun and gave him a deposit, he is headed west right now to get it. WOHOOO!

Great news, Pete. I think everybody on the site has been waiting for this to happen! Won't this mean that every model will be represented at this summer's 3rd Annual Great Southeastern Epic Roundup??? (If the title gets any longer, someone needs to come up with an acronym)

At least one of each model, at least one of each year. If breakaway makes it with his absolutely spotless '02. That thing and your boat and my new boat need to be documented for posterity, they are all three unmolested nice low hour boats. Les's too, his is like new as well. Come to think of it, the only one there that doesn't fit that category is my '00 :)
