Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show on Nov 1 -5
Capt Rick will look for new technology to update our boats. I have been going to the boats shows for over 50 years. At 15 worked at a Boat Rental and they had an Evinrude 18 tri hull with the first Ski boom. The first 100 Hp outboard for $800.
The owner was one of the first Barefoot skiers ( Alvaro Duarte)
I remember buying my first boat a 15 Owens with a Mercury Mark 75 outboard. No neutral just a shift lever with a start button to start the engine counterclockwise or clockwise for reverse. I have my original wooden Dick Pope Jr. ski set. Gas was .25 Cents a gallon. Sold it after a years for $400 more then I paid. The next boat was a 23 ft Speedcraft with OMC I/O 165 hp. at 16. I Bought new for $3500. I was told it is bullet proof so you could rescue a family in Cuba. Sold that boat for $1000 more then I paid in 6 months.
Remembering 1975 boat show watching Don Aronow on Cigarette Boats while I was East Coast Sale Manager for Formula/ Thunderbird.  Those good old days. People came to boat shows and bought boats and engines.
I have loved boating my whole life and feel blessed. Retired from Toyota Marine and supporting the Epic Boats is great.
Would have loved to have someone build my hull design ( V CAT)
A Hull V shape in bow then a cat in the stern. Oh well !!!

Now my personal sadness. My only Granddaughter Megan is 2 1/2 years old was recently diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia Type B. This is a 2-3 years of Chemo and things a little wonderful child or anyone should go through.  :(

Your prayers and continued parts purchases will help!

Love
Pa-Pa

https://www.gofundme.com/megan-giffords-leukemia-battle, was open for 30 days so  It was closed today. 10/19/2017. Plus they keep 7 %.

Or send money to a friend as a gift to Boatetrade@aol.com. PayPal, no fee.  I will transfer the funds to her medical expenses....

This is enough to make a grandparent cry, but she is so strong and so is my daughter and son-in law.  My wife retired as a special education teacher when she was born , So my daughter could work. They all bring LOVE and joy in all of our lives.

We really appreciate your contribution .

My daughter did stop working to take care of  Megan because she goes to the hospital  4 times a week.

The good news is her blood count is good there is no cancer in her bones and she’s a strong little girl !
