According to my dealer, your SX should have a 3 year warranty from the time that it was originally purchased.  I have a 2002 SX that I purchased in April of 2003, so if I do the math correctly, my   warranty would expire in April of 2006.

Err.. ah.. There's no hope for your boat, it's done. You should sell it to me. Honest  ;)

That boat is so pretty. I saw one just like that in shrink wrap in early 2002 that I should have traded my boat for. I couldn't seriously consider it, my boat has so much sentimental value, dirty carpet and all.

Going camping this weekend on the lake, red Georgia clay. It's well worth it, it'll wash out. Wakeboarding on glass on the best coves on the lake at 0730, that's what it's all about. It's free, too! Except for gas. Toyota!

For the right price it can be anybody's boat.

I have no more check engine light problem now, because nothing on the dash works at all (and no ignition).

It acts just like the lanyard is pulled out, but the lanyard is hooked up, and wires are good. I also have power getting to the MDC box, but that's it.

I've looked at everything and have several hours into researching and troubleshooting. Cohen says no on the warranty, but it didn't recieve a title until 5/02. Three years isn't up. Grrr...... >:(

Yes, it still looks damn good sitting out there right now....

Thanks, I appreciate that :-)

I remember the guy with dash problems, he said his dash freaked out and they ended up warranty-ing the problem... I have the same identical problem, but he never said what the part was that they replaced ???

For what its worth, I had the same symptoms last year right after we got our boat, and we messed around with the battery on/off switch a couple of times and removed and reinstalled the lanyard a couple of times and then it worked.  The boat would turn over, but no ignition.  I've heard a lot about bad/corroded contacts.  I'd check out that lanyard switch and contacts real well.  My 2 cents worth.  Good luck! :)
