I am in the process of making this upgrade and when I took out the old manifold out I noticed that the tank hook ups have a tapered end which looks like it can be cut off to create a wider opening.  When you guys upgraded your systems did you cut them back to the bigger opening?  I tried to upload a photo but it says the folder is full??

I also learned that I should have looked closer when I bought the boat to check if it had ever been stored with water in the hull.

I've always struggled with the fact that teh S22 on trailer doesn't naturally drain to the stern. I usually store the boat with the nose ungodly high on a stack of blocks to get a decent drain. Am kinda over it and will be installing a through-hole drain up by the driver's feet like the direct drive folks have. Skidim has one here: http://www.skidim.com/prodinfo.asp?number=250 for $30, and West Marine has a nicer one for $75 http://www.westmarine.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?productId=112293&catalogId=10001&langId=-1&storeId=11151&storeNum=10106&subdeptNum=10464&classNum=10467 Problem with that one is it only works with 3/4" hulls and ours can be more depending o where you cut.

This would REALLY make me a happy camper. Well this along with a few other items like upgraded fwd bilge pump, second auto bilge pump aft, new transducer, oil bath hubs, shutoff valve right next to the sea water intake, and of course new head unit, amp & sub with USB, remote control, AUX in all plumbed into the port cubby so wife unit can diddle with the tunes.
