2001 S-22 For Sale $26,000 obo
« on: September 03, 2006, 03:41:52 am »
V drive in great shape.  Currently has 234 hours.  Spun aluminum factory tower, custom cover, Bimini top, 3 blade 13x10 prop as well as as 4 blade stock prop, 3 month old Optima battery, CD/XM/Sub system.  Boat is in great shape.  The boat is currently located in Corona California.  There are a few pics on the second page of the boat pictures on this awesome website.  I will be sad to see it go as it is the best boat I have ever owned.  The only reason I am selling it is because of a job transfer to the Northeast and I can not stand cold water.
Why am I obsessed with discontinued Japanese toys?

Hi Guys, new to your site, great site BTW.  Looks like a very nice boat you have for sale at a steal. Had considered Epics, but not given alot of thought until I came across your site. Definitely worth another look for the price/value relationship. I'm located in Washington so I'll probably zip over to Ski Masters and check out the SX they have. I noticed it has extra large ballast capacity  ;)  (as long as you leave the plug out).   32K seemed a bit high priced to me, especially w/o PP.
Unless the sales tax deduction fro 2006  passes congress again thought probably no purchase until spring.

Rob, how come you haven't let me buy a BCR from Miguel's Jr., since we're neighbors?

Where at in Corona are you? I'd love to take a look at your S22. For some reason (old age, too much stress, too much fun in adolescence, etc.) I forgot about you being in the area.

That leaves three Epics (all S22's btw) as far as I know in the LA area (Gary Paul's, yours and mine), now that Krejci's X has gone north.

Would you be interested in riding with us one of these days before it gets real cold?

Derek, I actually live in Lake Elsinore but I did not have room to store the boat on my property.  The boat is currently stored at my brother in laws house.  He lives up in the hills off of Promenade/McKinley.  I used to work in Corona about a mile from my brother in laws house so it was not that big of a deal to pick it up on the way home.  Outside of family and my boat, I think I am going to miss Miguels more than anything else after I move.  I have been eating there for more than 23 years.

I would have loved to get more ride time in, but I am actually packing up the house today and heading out tomorrow.

I have debated back and forth on what I should do with the boat.  Is it better to pay to have it hauled to Pennsylvania where there is a very short riding season (less demand?), or continue to try and sell it here in Cali?  The problem with most of Cali is they are looking for the bling boats.  However, I remember when I was looking for a Toyota there were not any for sale within 1,500 miles.

Blindside, nope the wife didn't leave.  Been happily married for 16 years.  However, after living here for 38 years I am divorcing myself from Cali due to irreconsilable differences.  Too many people, no infrastructure, too hot, schools suck, too expensive, housing bubble is going to pop, etc...

Best of luck to you, and if I can help with your boat in any way, just hollar. I ain't going anywhere and neither is my Epic. You got me thinking...I moved to Corona in late '86 and began eating at the 'old' Miguels on 6th & Lincoln in '87. That makes it 19 years of the best bean/cheese, bean/rice cheese, bean/potoato/cheese, pork/potato/cheese burritos, shredded beef tacos and super yummy salsa that money can buy. Sweet. Hey, don't forget you can have your bro-in-law FedEx you some when times get hard out there.
