Has anyone used a boom on a vdrive Toyota?
Has anyone ever tried to make one that would fasten to the tower and stick out the side of the boat?

I haven't used one, but I know MD Boats in Indianapolis (If I recall, that is where you get your boat serviced) has one for a Toyota Epic that Mark Qualkinbush was trying to sell for cheap.

Hey Pete,
Totally off topic, but did you have fun this summer with your new boat? Also, did you sell the Chris Craft? It is haunting me.

Hey Pete-

good to hear from you.

To answer your questions: Yep and yep!

We had a great time, for the little bit of time I had off this year(same deal at work as you have, I quess).  The Toyota ran great.  Everyone loved skiing, boarding, aqua-planing, tubing behind, and sleeping on, the boat!  Hopefully, you saw some of the pix I posted on the 'pictures' and elsewhere.  By the way, we got the bimini installed--it is a quality piece of engineering.

As far as the Chris Craft goes, yes, alas, we did sell it.  Bittersweet.  Happily, a nice family on Moosehead Lake bought it, so we'll still be seeing it around.  We told them to let us know if they ever decide to sell.  Who knows, by then I may be ready to make a hobby(or a living) restoring wood boats!

I still cannot believe the summer is gone--I was watching the weather channel this morning and they were saying that they were predicting up to 6" of snow in the Maine mountains (e.g. Moosehead Lake) today.  Yeow!

I guess you still have a month or two of good boating/boarding left.  I'm jealous.

Here is a couple of pictures of the Chris Craft I took from the Toyota... and 'the lounge'....

Happy boating!

One more of the Chris Craft... a beautiful thing to see(and hear)going through the water.  And a pretty awesome wake, to boot..

I don't know what I would have done with it, and my wife would have executed me, but I will always regret not jumping on that deal. That boat is a thing of beauty.
