leather stain/markings ne1 know a good way to clean
« on: November 29, 2006, 20:08:17 pm »
OK here is the situation.  i was up skiing last summer and picked up a spare tire on the way up north.  i had no place for it in the car so i put it in the boat and it ended up resting on the front seat.  Well come to my surprise brand new tires make a great stain on rubber.  so well i can actually read the lettering of the tire brand.  i have tried simple leather cleaning products with no luck.  i am assuming i am out of luck but does anyone know a good way to clean the stain like this?

thanks

Mike

what I use on my vinyl is 3M vinyl cleaner and restorer and it seems to clean anything off and contains no silicone, which causes the seams to crack I have found it in walmart in the boating section.Good stuff.

;D ;D ;D Mr. Clean Magic Eraser ;D ;D ;D
You can use it on anything. Took stains off my white tower that nothing else would even touch. With very little effort. Works on vinyl and even gelcoat. Even better there cheap.

I had that exact same thing happen.  New spare tire left about a 6 inch stain on the front cushion.
I found that a mr clean bleach pen applied over and over and over did the trick about 90%
Took about 2 weeks of applications but most of it faded.  Did not seem to damage the vinyl at all either.
