Imobilser or not
« on: December 05, 2006, 20:48:35 pm »
Can anyone tell me if there is an imobilser on any of the boats from new. The engine starts and runs perfectly for 2 seconds but then shuts down. Or anyother suggestions. Does anyone now what the white round buttons under the dash are and what each one is for numbered. They are housed in a black box.

Double check the connections on the deadman switch next to the gear shift lever. The engine will start and run as you describe if your lanyard is not fully seated in this switch. (Red Button)

1. The engine will not start , but will crank if the lanyard is off or bad wire.
2. if the gauges move when the key is turned on .... then it will run
3. If the engine stops and will not run it is a bad fuel pump. See preius maint on fuel pumps.....
4. Turn key on press red button fp on engine does it run and make clicking noise.
5. hit fuel pumps with mallet of retuen line pinch with vise grips --- does it run now
