2001 Epic X-22 Cover
« on: December 19, 2006, 06:31:20 am »
Does anyone out there know how to get ahold of a boat cover for the 01' X22??  I wasn't sure if you could still get OEM ones or do you have to go with aftermarket...such as Sunbrella??  If you have to go aftermarket, does anyone have any recommendations on where to look, or type to get?  I would prefer to get one that I could keep my tower upright. Thanks for any help.  Happy Holidays!

You can get them either way. Phill Dill boats down in Texas had some OEM covers for an Epic 22, not sure if they still have them or if they were tower up or tower down. You can get a regular cover modded for tower for pretty cheap, 100$ or so. I'd call them first, the factory covers are nice. I think they are around $600, phill dill was blowing them out for 150$ or something.

If you want to go nuts, I'd get a Rankin. You can call them, they have the pattern for that boat. They are a cover that attaches around the rub rail, no straps, except in back. They don't need sticks to not pool water, they are trailerable, etc. I think they cost around 900$.

I'm getting a Rankin with my new (to me) SX::))

I've called phill dill twice and haven't found the 150 deal--- the second time they even took my phone number and checked the wearhouse but I got the call back saying they didn't have any covers for the toyotas.  Hope this helps-

Sure does...  Thanks for the info.  I store my boat inside a sheetmetal boat storage unit by the lake but every once in a while when the wind gets kicking, it sends dust and crap under the doors and all inside my boat.  Thanks again for the advice.

If all you need is basically a dust cover, I'd buy a 200$ non custom cover and get it modded as necessary for tower, etc.

Hey flyin,

I got sunbrella for my 00 X.  Tower up style.  Works well.  Fits over the swim deck and everything.
I would suggest getting a dark colored one though.  They can stain.  But yours isnt really gonna be outside much.

This is the one I ordered.  I ordered it from overtons.  It was the cheapest.
Its a good tough cover.  But I wish the material was a little thicker.  Not needed really, but I wish.  Its For tower up.

Sorry for the late reply.
