30 Of These Boat Engines Now in Race Cars and Trucks!!

Obviously this subject line needs explanation.

Minding my own business on another forum, it came up that someone had a v drive setup that was off one of these engines.  Turns out, according to this person, 30 of these engines with v drives still intact were shipped to Toyota Racing Development for use in race cars and/or trucks a couple of years ago.

Maybe that is why you can only buy a direct drive engine now as a replacement, my guess is for whatever reason all the spare v drive engine assemblies were taken apart and the engines removed for racing.

ahhh really sir.. we are the same that's the thing that I really want to know....

alot has happened since 07. as per RECENT posts by capt rick there are 14 direct drive engine Assemblies and 51 v drive Assemblies available.

as for my 2 cents if Toyota decides to shut down Toyota marine as they did. they can do whatever they want with extra engines
(that are out of date anyways). TRD was a great place in my opinion.
