Was wondering if anyone who has an epic Sx uses phat sacs along with the stock ballast system. Was thinking of getting few sacs for the rear. if anyone uses them what would they recommend weight wish and position wish.

Robbie-
I am currently installing my ballast "upgrade" system in my SX. As far as sacs go I'm running Flyhigh custom (X-2 v-drive sacs 18x20x32). These are an upgrade designed for the mastercraft x2, they just happen to be the exact dimensions of our SX's v-drive lockers. They did modify them for me instead of the 2 ports that are standard, I had them install 3 port in the Typical V-drive bag locations. They were pricey but I think they were worth every penny. they fit much nicer than the standard v-drive bags. they fill up all the way. the standard bags are 42x16x16, in order to fill them all the way you need to remove the aft locker walls. Plus the x2 bags have a little more capacity 413lbs. vs. 386lbs.
For the front I am running standard v drive locker bags in the bow. one in the walk through and one on top off it across the bow seats. second one only about half full.( i was worried about a 700 pounder pushing against the walk thru walls, i don't want the gelcoat to spider crack.)

did alot of lake testing before i chose this setup. if you fill both front bags all the way the wake looks bigger but its not solid. another thing I learned is wakes can be deceiving. 2280lbs. was all tanks and bags full and burped of all air, you would think it would be sweet. Everyone always want the biggest wake- right? WRONG you want the largest solid wake. If the wake is huge but you fly through it (instead of up it) its useless. So we pulled 200lbs. out of the front bag, the wake was a little smaller, BUT it was the BEST wake Ive ever ridden. Solid and popped me so high I ate shit 5 times before I got use to the pop.

The only down side was I had to re-prop the boat. With the help of Bill Weeks at acme we dialed in a perfect prop. Oh yeah if anyone wants a stainless 4 blade factory prop Ive got one for sale. They factory prop with that kind of weight would just spin out.

OK I'm tired now ;D

Jason-
the prop specs are 13x13 1/2 LH 1 1/8". I'll let it go for $250 shipped (as long as your in the U.S.A.) No nicks, dings, or blemishes.

If I remember correctly only v-drive boats have 1 1/8 shafts, so I'm not sure if it will work on your X22.

Spokane,
I'm selling my E22 and it has a four blade OJ with .080 cup (wakeboarding prop) It is a 13x13 LH. It has one tiny nick but it doesn't vibrate or anything. I'll sell it for 175$. Then, I'll buy Cal's sacks and pump:)
