Black box
« on: February 26, 2007, 14:14:38 pm »
Still have no answer or am any the wiser as to what the black box under the dash is with all the white buttons in it. If anyone can let me know what it is and what each of the numbered buttons does it would be greatly appreciated.

Are you talking about this?

http://www.epicmarine.com/figures/PANELSWITCHASSEMBLY.pdf

The one with all the white breaker resets?

They all go to the devices right above them on the panel.

No thats not the box i am talking about. The one i am talking about is under the dash to the left hand side and is black it has white circular buttons on its face about 14 of them if i remember correctly.
Our boat has the carbon looking millenium dash. i will try and take a picture of it.

It is just a circuit breaker distribution box. !2vdc comes in via the engine harness and is distributed via this box to various circuits.

Thanks for that. Would you have a diagram from your manual which tells you what each of the switches is for or would you know where I might be able to find out.
I would like to see what the white button we pushed back in was out for.

yea thats her. looks like yours has lables beside all the buttons. Our on the sx has only numbers. Are all the buttons related to switches on the dash. Now that we have established we are talking about the same thing has anyone go one the same as ours and can tell us what each button is for.

That would be great. If anyone else who has an SX in the mean time feels like poping there head under the dash and takeing a few pics it would be greatly appreciated. Did any of you SX owners who have had boats from new get a manual which tell you what each of the white buttons numbers are for as i have no idea and can be sure from looking at the s22 pics.

Thats the same as ours for sure. Thanks for the pic. Would you happen to have the manual or be able to let me know what each one of the butttons is for. One of them was out on the box when we got the boat and we are wondering what they all are so we can eliminate the chance that it may be stopping the engine on us. It would be great as it would put our minds at rest. Thanks Rob

Sorry, I don't have a manual for these nor do I know what each button controls.  Hopefully, someone else can help or the black boxes that are labeled in other boats match the same configuration as our's that are numbered.

Read this, it might help you. You might have a bad fuel pump. The boat was not cared for, you could have water and crap in the pump.
