2001 Epic 22 for Sale in Florida - looks nice
« on: April 25, 2007, 04:17:25 am »
I was strongly considering buying this boat. Pictures of it sure look nice. Color is nice and there are plenty of options including shower, bimini, ballast, Acuski and a pylon. Speaking with the salesman was one thing, but the mechanic is independent of the sales company and I spoke with him. He took it out for a test drive about a month ago and said he was very impressed with the condition and did a compression test... all consistent. He said there was not any fade in the paint or gelcoat... 'very nice condition, especially for being in Florida and for the year' is what he said.

A bit more information...

At the time I was looking, they would have sold me the boat with the new trailer for $17K if I had them take off the nationwide warranty. I see now they are asking $20K plus the trailer... I know the boat is consigned (dealership does not own this boat) but I think if a guy was going to purchase it, the price could be negotiated back down quickly again.
This looks like a nice unit with a great price. I recently purchased a different boat so not interested in this one anymore... I think it is a good deal if he will lower the price again.... just in case anyone is looking.

No one should think twice about eliminating a warranty such as that- especially on these boats.
Don't be so humble, you're not that great.
