Capt Rick,

Just ordered those parts from you and got your message.  I was sort of unclear on the item you said was red?  I would like the tower cover in gray, the glove compartment latch in stainless, and the window latches in whatever color they come in (hopefully white or black).  Is this what I will get?  I'm more concerned w/ the tower cover....I definitely DO NOT want that in red.  Thanks for the help.  flyn2001.

Thanks Capt Rick.  Just curious, but do you keep this stuff in a warehouse or do you order it from Toyota?  Being this is my first order, I'm interested in how long we will be able to buy stuff for our boats from you.  Hopefully for many years!!  Thanks again.

I can't answer directly for Capt Rick, but I can say that my order for piddly crap for my  SX was filled and shipped poste haste. Under a week, stuff was there. It's the first time I've ordered anything from the site. Sorry to say that but Ipleasanty surprised with the service and the crazy kind of parts that are available. I know I should get a fuel pump, but I got new SX graphics instead.:)
Servce was outta Adrian, Mi. Huh?

The parts are in stock with limited availablity in Mi. The warehouse stocks all the parts from Toyota Marine. The list of parts discounted is in my garage. I am not working now so any parts you buy pays for the food on my table.

If anyone want to get into the boat manufacturing business let me know...

I would like to build a boat that fits in garage 19' 3".

Got the stuff Capt Rick.  Just what I wanted.  Thanks for the speedy business.

Has anyone ever put on the window latches w/ rivets before??  Any hints or is it pretty much self explanitory?  I assume I am going to need a rivet gun!  Thanks.

Hey flyin, Long time...

Yeah I installed a set of the latches last year that I ordered from the Capt.
Yes you will need a rivet gun.
Its a little tricky to install them.  This is what I came up with when I did it.
You will need one of three things to get the rivet seated fully (no slop in the latch)
1) get a rivet gun with a very narrow tip that will fit down into the recess in the latch.  (for the gun to work it has to seat all the way against the shank on the pop rivet)
2) custom make a little spacer with a hole in it. It should fit over the stem of the rivet. but be smaller than the ID of the recess in the latch.  Will allow the rivet gun to push against the rivets shank.
3) take a drill bit and open up the recess hole in the latch to match the head of your rivet gun

I did the last one and I am gonna feel very stupid when someone tells me that there is an easier way.  I litterally spent an hour on something that should have only taken 5 minutes.

BTW, Capt, did you ever hear anything on that claim I filed with UPS for that missing windshield support from December or Novemeber of Last year???

Later,
Kirk

Kirk,

Thanks for the tip (so to speak).  Seems harder than I hoped for (so to speak).  I guess I will have to get K-town to put it on for me...wait....better not after his "tower-mounted mirror issues".  jk K-town.  I recommend you get one of those tower top covers (they say epic on the top).  I just put mine on and it is sweet for shading the speakers from the sun.  Capt Rick got me hooked up w/ a grey one and it is sweet.  I need to post some pics once I get all my mods finished.  I upgraded to a polished aluminum mirror arm, racks, stainless steel glovebox latch, tower cover and soon tower speakers...hopefully...if I can convince the wife to hook me up. I also just got a new board (Byerly) and that thing rules!  Now I just need Texas to stop sending us severe thunderstorms and gust winds.  Take it easy bro.

1st:  Has anyone ever added the bow filler cushion to an EPIC that did not originally have one?  My boat does not have the little black strips in the bow walkway to put the bow cushion on, but I would like to add one if it is possible.

2nd:  Capt Rick, do you have the ability to get a bow cushion, mounting hardware??  (my interior color is the white w/ grey

3rd:  Is anyone interested in selling one they have/do not use?

Thanks for the help.

The bow filler cushion mounts were nothing more than some strips of black plastic about 8" long, 3/4" thick and 1.25" wide. They bolted flush to the sides of the walk through even with the edge. The cushion just sat on them, it really needed pins to keep it from sliding out. You could make the mounts and cushion very easily.

Thanks Cyclone.  If I can't get my hands on a factory cushion, I may just have to customize!!  Thanks again.

Cyclone, this may be a dumb question but do (or anyone for that matter) have the dimensions of the bow filler cushion.  If possible, does anyone have, able to get, some good pictures of their cushion.  Top side and bottom side would be great.  Thanks!
