Ballast Pumps Epic SX

Does anyone know what the exact model the Rule ballast pumps are. I think one of our is broken it seems to be leaking water out of the bottom where it is joined together. Will need to get a new one if thats the case.

It is quite common for aerator pumps to have cracks, it's caused by vibration and from not winterizing. All you have to do is open the petcock and drain the tanks fully.

While you're in there, do yourself a favor and put two of these in. 2w250, 76$us.

Thanks for that. What difference will the solinoid make.

They are 1" as opposed to .5" I haven't swapped mine yet but I will. The system is sssslllooooowwwww with the little valves. All other lines in the ballast are 1", everything necks down at these valves.

rule had a problem with those screws falling out you can read about it on there web site. the pumps on my sx were not included in the recall, but I think they should have been. don't just tighten up the screws, replace them. Or there is a guy on ebay who sells the whole pump for $25. I bought 8 from him when I upgraded my ballast, nice guy.
