I don't know what a lot of money is, but I like the Pollk Momo MMC650's They drop right it, are marine rated and sound great. If you wanted to spend less money, the Polk DB series is also great sounding.

Wetsounds plans to launch their in-boat marine speakers sometime this month.  Buywake.com is a great online retailer.  Should be around $150-190 per set.  I just purchased a set of the new Infinity Kappa Marine speakers to replace a set that I blew.  The new Kappas are very nice -- much cleaner sounding (and louder) than my older Kappa's.  I think the Polk's are a lot of bang for your buck, too.  If I were buying now, I'd get the Wetsounds (even without having heard them yet, the tower speakers I bought from them have amazed me...).

I bought a pair of the Wetsounds Pro 80 speakers.  They weigh around 20(?) lbs each.  The tower definitely moves, but not too badly.  I was out on an '06 MC X2 yesterday (with a set-up that probably weighs about the same) and his tower was moving as much as mine does.  I only have a couple pics:

Those aren't very good pics, and it looks a lot better with the tower mirror arm installed (that went on right AFTER I took these pics, oops), and maybe with some better photos. I never realized how trashy my neighborhood looks until now.  Notice the dolphin-shaped blue mailbox in front of the white and blue house?  That's hot. And the trailer that's missing the port guide-post?? That's CUSTOM...

Dangit, and I forgot to include in my post that WAKESIDE.COM is who carries wetsounds, not buywake as previously posted.  I miss that "edit post" function... though I think I'm the reason it went away!

WOW those speakers look great on a Toyota. They fit right in the corners. I wish the brackets were a little smaller, they might fit on my tower with the tramp top. I think it's the sheer size of the new boats/towers that makes them look weenie on other boats. They fit our towers perfectly, IMHO.

Your neighborhood is fine Cal, be glad you don't live next to me. I am the neighborhood redneck. In a land of McMansions and Hummers, I have biggest, nicest house on the best lot in the very back cul-de-sac but drive a beater '96 Bronco with a busted exhaust. I could get it fixed but it sounds too focking cool. I just had it fixed so I don't need a screwdriver to start it anymore, I have a key now! I have all kinds of vehicles in my driveway all the time, my kids play rock and roll at ungodly volume through all my old band equipment, OK sometimes its me. I mean, I have crap that you could play a collusseum with. My crazy friends show up at all hours and will do burnouts occasionally when the mood strikes them. I guess I am rebelling against the fake-ass religious saccharine sweetness that a lot of bible belt people lay out like they mean it. Nothing against faith, but when it's contrived and shallow and self-serving I have no use. My goal with the lawn is to maintain the second crappiest yard in the neighborhood, so they stay (more or less) off my ass and i can wave to them on their mowers as I drive by on the way to the lake:) OK, I just got a lawn service so now my weeds are a uniform height.

LMFAO!!!  The speakers do really look great -- I was surprised at how perfectly they fit too.  Also, in the corners you don't hit your head on them.  I lucked out.  Those brackets are pretty slick, they flip 180 degrees so that you can face them forward or backwards very easily.  They remove in about 30 seconds each for those few occasions when the boat is to be left outside.  There is not a better tower speaker on the market, I guarantee it.

I just finished popping some popcorn.  Back to your opinions on organized religion, loud music and lawn care...  ;)

Dude, your neighborhood is crappy. I like the dolphin but I don't see no virgin Mary things or those cut out boards of the fat lady weeding the plants. There are no bathtub planter boxes and I don't see any bunch o guys standin around chattin with some brewskies while one guy works on his 72 Chevelle that's up on blocks. Also, what's up with the garage doors bein shut? Shut doors mean you can't show off your garage stuff to the neighbors and what if you needed to borrow something, you'd have to go knock on the neighbors door. Your neighbors must not be very friendly. Sorry to rip on the place man, but I'm tellin ya, there ain't nothin like a good ol park with 50 or 60 trailers and a gatherin place fer drinkin and swattin kids in the middle. It is awesome when yer wife can just open the kitchen window, reach out and knock on her buddies kitchen window and ask to borrow a couple eggs. The exchange can happen right there. All that space between your houses just creates distance in the down home relationships you could be havin with your closed garage door neighbors.

Hey I spotted Bitzy's New summer home.
I think they must tow the house around like this and tow the boat with something else?
