Need help. Epic 21 not starting

I had the boat out all weekend.  no problems.  then started it today for one more run and the boat wouldn't turn over.  I would hear the pre alarm go off when i turn the key but when i went to turn it over nothing.  nothing at all.  i also noticed that the alarm beep would sometimes turn into a chirp chirp chirp.  after i unscrewed the ignition switch and screwed it back in and tried it 5 more times all of a sudden  it cranked and ran fine.  i didn't turn it off i skied then took the boat home.  any ideas?  could it be a bad ignition switch?  do those go bad?  any other ideas.  ill help with as much info as you need

One possibility is the throttle may not be in the neutral position.  Wiggle it to ensure it is in neutral then turn the key.  It may need some adjustment if this is the problem.

There's been some problems with loose wires in the past. Check them all and crimp any that don't fit tightly. Check your ground wires also to make sure they are solid and free of corrosion. A bad ground will mess things up just as easily as a loose positive. Check battery and Perko switch connections too.

I assume the perko switch is the main on off switch on the bilge?

Go to the Maintenance section above and use trouble  guide..

Does the gauges go on , with key switch
Does the engine crank
Does the fuel pumps run........key on press red button FP

You may also want to check the fuse located by the Perko switch and make sure the connections are clean and free of corrosion.
