New Epic owner
« on: May 02, 2008, 23:07:26 pm »
I became the owner of a 99 Epic about a week ago. Was looking for information and came across this site. Looks like some great info. Also looks like I have the only one in the Minnesota. I hope to take it out this weekend. I might have to dodge a few ice chunks.

I think Jack Safro Marine sold a few Epics into Minnesota.  Safro Lexus/Toyota is located in Brookfield, WI, but they transferred their Toyota Marine franchise to Skipper Buds when Toyota pulled the plug on Epic.  Skipper Buds does a great job maintaining my Epic and several others.  They work closely with Safro Lexus on engine maintenance.  A service guy at the Lexus store went through all of the Toyota Marine training.  Additionally, the Skipper Buds guys are very good.  If you ever get in a service bind, it is good to know about Skipper Buds in Pewaukee, WI.

Our boat lives in Wisconsin most of the time, but we do get to Minnesota from time to time.  Here are a few pics from Duluth on Lake Superior:

I heard that the ice is still rather thick in Northern Wisconsin near the UP.  A neighbor of ours was up there last week and couldn't put in his dock due to the ice.

Yup. St. Paul. The boat came from Alabama.

Thanks for the information. I just had a Malibu Dealer do some service on it. He had never seen one before. Also said the technology was way ahead of its time. I can't wait to take it out.
