Dallas officer accused of drunken drivingA Dallas police officer was placed on administrative leave after being accused of drunken driving in Corinth. Officer Rickey Upshaw, 42, was released from the Denton County Jail on Sunday afternoon after posting $2,500 bail. Authorities say that about 1 a.m. Sunday, the driver of a Cadillac Escalade hit a vehicle (aka my 2006 DC Tundra) with a jet ski and a trailer attached. When police arrived, they said they smelled alcohol on the driver of the Escalade. The driver, identified as Officer Upshaw, refused to consent to field sobriety testing or to take a Breathalyzer, authorities said. Officer Upshaw was hired in 1988.
