New Epic Owner
« on: June 11, 2008, 21:50:25 pm »
After lurking around here for the past few years I finally found one near me for sale and had to buy it.

It's 2000 X22 Millenium with 205 hrs. It has facotry ballast, 3 boat covers, a bimini and he included almost all of his gear (including some wakeboards, ski's, tubes, etc) for not a bad price of $23.9k (My CU booked it at $26).
I wanted to get it a bit cheaper but I've been trying to find one of these dang things for 2 years that I couldn't chance missing out on this one.
Can't wait for it to come back from being summerized by Marine Products...So if you see a black Tundra pulling a Toyota boat in Utah that'll be me!

My brain is mush after reading through all of these pots, so if you guys have any advice for a new Epic owner, I'd love to hear it.
Thx

Bobmac

Welcome to Epic-hood.  They are great boats.  If you see a Silver Tacoma and a White X22 in Utah that would be me.  Now we just need some warm weather here...Cheers!

Welcome aboard. They are pretty good boats i must say, other than the bearing & brake issues on the trailer it's been great for the past 8 years.

If you see a 07 salsa red tundra DC pulling a green epic 22 in Utah, then that'd be me!!!!

Oh, and it has plenty of power to spare. Going up to strawberry reservoir on sunday, i had to see what she'd do so right at the steepest part I floored it and i climbed to 80 no problem and had to let off.

I might ad, the tundra pulls it in 6th gear at 75 on the flat no problem, & the instant mpg read 15.5.

15.5 is pretty dang good!  The supercharger on my 02' 4Runner just says "cha-ching" while it is pegged out at 8 lbs of boost (flat or steep).  I haven't calculated the mpg pulling the boat, but I would guess around 10 or less.

Hey Only was that up Daniels, that can get pretty steep near the top. I love the new ones and that 5.7 is bada$$. One of these days I may dump my '04 for one, but the truck is just too perfect and the 4.7 still has plenty of power. Guess we'll see how well it does going up Parleys in a few weekends.

From the weather reports I've seen it looks like summer may finally be here...90's this coming week.

On a side note have any of you seen Echo? That lake is higher than I've seen in years! This year would be perfect if it weren't for the high gas prices. Can't wait to fill the boat up, I'm thinking it's going to max the amex.

Yes, it was up daniels & i waited until i got to the steepest part before I punched it. Like i said, i was doing 80 before the top & i had to let off. Yeah, i had an 02 with the 4.7 and it was pretty descent as well. But i wanted more power for pulling our 25' 5th wheel & our gooseneck horse trailer.
Mother nature has finally decided that it can warm up now, finally.
No, i haven't seen echo for a few months. Pretty full huh? That's good to hear, i've only been there once. Gas is freaking outrageous these days that's for sure. I'm afraid to spend any money for fear i can't afford to go to powell this year. I'd like to go twice if we can swing it, but we'll see.
