DD rudder shaft

how do you guys go about getting back there and greasing the rudder shaft. i cant get the the gun to reach.

climb in the ski locker and take out the service panel and the zerk is right there. You will also need to remove the cover panel for the gas tank to make it easier to get the service panel in and out. All these panels are in the storage locker (ski locker)

i need to replace my zerk fitting, wont take grease.. I bought one but it was the wrong one, it's always something...

try a needle attachment for your grease gun. sometimes that will free them up cause the needle itself forces in the lil check ball. harbor freight has them for a couple bucks.

If it stays wet back in there everything will bind and rust. I pull my plug before I trailer home to keep it dry in the bilge.
