How do you contact Toyota?
« on: May 10, 2004, 04:13:14 am »
I'm hoping I can contact Bill Nichtern, because Jeff won't answer my emails and Rick Cohen won't give up any info.

I have a feeling that Toyota would really want this prototype back. The former employee that sold it won't return my calls, so I'm not sure what to do. I'm pretty sure this boat was never meant to leave the factory.

I've got to take a pic of the grid that's drawn on the bottom of my hull...

...trippy. :o

Jeff Dorge never responds to email very promptly...if at all. Don't take it personally. The guy is super-swamped...give him a call, he usually answers right away. Don't worry about leaving voicemail, just call back again until he answers.  He's bad about returning voicemails too (I left him 3 last week, still haven't heard back).

But Derek, let me know what PM'd. My local dealership (Ski-Masters in Seattle area) switched their service guys.  Shit.  So long for good Toyota service...the new guy is a bit less than helpful, they were completely unwilling to help me find new decals for my boat (and I know Dorge still has a few).

I'd like to get all contact info in one document that I can post on the site, all reps, good dealers, good techs, etc. I have some from the last time I asked, I'll post what I have, hopefully there'll be some new info that'll help.

Thanks for all of the support guys. I really love my boat. I hope that maybe I can just get those guys to warranty everything and repair the boobie traps they left behind when experimenting with our 22ft lab rat.

I'll take those pics next time I'm under the dash Cyclone. It will probably be tomorrow....:-)

All I can think about is wakeboarding. DAMMIT. :'(

You'd love it better if you had this under the hatch:

Hell yeah I would! And if a frog had wings...

The wife was nice and sweet to Bill and he told her that he'd give us a one time warranty to investigate the status of our boat...which means he has to actually put it IN the water.

....which means he has to get the dash to work so that it will start. Problem solved (hopefully).

The best part is the Malibu rep (from my wife's job) was nice enough to tow our toyota behind his chevy (which sports gigantic MALIBU letters) all the way to Phil Dill boats from Austin!

What a sight.

Man, that's awesome.  I was reminded yesterday of how nice those guys really are. Dorge really impressed me yesterday taking care of a warranty issue over the upholstery on my back seat (same problem as many others have had with seams ripping).  He's getting my seats overnighted to me by the end of the week...(of course, the cushions are 2 months overdue, but hey...). Anyways, they really are good guys...just busy as hell.

Glad to hear about the one-time warranty.  Hopefully they will get enough time with it to realize all thats going on...

Good luck!

OUT FRIGGIN STANDING  !!!!

Phil Dill...now there's a big service center. If a boat dealership in SoCal had that much property, they'd better be selling Mercedes yachts.

This is true. The Toyota crew (Bill) was great, but Phil Dill really sucks. They all tell me different things. Three weeks and they haven't touched my boat....I'm having withdrawals, I miss her!! ???

I heard from Dwayne the best thing to do is take it to Texas Mastercraft and they will just get any parts they need from Phil Dil.

BTW, nice to finally meet you Dwayne on the water last weekend.
