Heater bypass

Hey I'm looking to bypass my heater think a hose might be leaking can i just get a small piece of hose and loop that through By the motor

Yup, that's the easiest way. you may wana check the connections on the back of the heater. that's where mine was leaking.

I have looked at the Clamps on the heater and they seem tight the carpet is always dry but i always have water in the boat no leaks on the motor just a a normal drip on the shaft  i dont believe it could be anywhere else because of the amout of water i get which seems to be alot it is a vdrive and pretty easy to see everything but the heater lines.

JJMax,  Let me know what you find.  I always have more water when I pull the plug than I think I should have.  No engine leaks as far as I can see and the shaft leaks as it's suppose to do.  I always thought it was mostly from people getting in and out of the water frequently.

i was having same issue. turned out the heater core was leaking. just used a hose on the back of motor to bypass it. never used it anyways. oh and make sure if you have a shower that its not leaking. had a cracked line in the back that was leaking for awhile where the temp controls are. bilge is always dry now.

Well bypassed the heater and i noticed a huge difference in water in the bilge the only issue is still not completely dry and i don't see any leaks on the motor or any hose my shaft drips like it should i guess i don't no if it suppose to be dry or have some water what would you guys consider alright how much???

I bypassed mine last year and pulled it out and my bilge is dry I no longer have hot water pouring out...
