“Advanced switching device”
« on: September 06, 2010, 22:28:34 pm »
Advise needed, new Epic Owner

“Advanced switching device”: Problem: Blower, Bilge pump, switches don’t work, sometimes they will come on, on there own.  When they do automatically come on, I could hear a clicking… when looking for a short I found the clicking in the “Advanced switching device”.

Anyone know of, or find a nice replacement for the device?

Before you replace it unplug the orange output wires from the  box( at the white plug)
Then shut battery switch, then on again, does the light flicker on the switch pads?....
Then go one by one and turn on a switch and see if it lights. if it doesn't light then need new DECC> OR

Send to me the switch's and the decc.

Sounds very similar to an issue I have with my boat.  I have a double switch bank, but only one will work at a time, at the back of the switch panel you should see a gray square plug, if you have two switches, try only having one plugged in at a time and see if the one works.   In my case I found that both switches will work as along as the battery is fully charged.  One of the fixes I read about was to run a large ground cable directly from the battery to the control box located under the dash in the "kick panel" area.
