you can reset any check engine light by disconnecting the battery. if the gauge doesn't work but the panel does check the connector at the gauge. they both receive the same signal from the MDC.

Does the gauges zero out when key is on ? If it does not then the 4 gauge cluster is bad...

If there is a code after engine starts you need to repair code to stop getting red light. Does the engine idle at 1200 vs 700 rpm?

The engine is at idle 700 RPM and sounds great. Epic light and check engine are on but i believe my epic light has always been on.  Now to the 4 way gauge the fuel and volts move to what i believe is the correct position when i turn on the key. when i start the boat for a little bit all controls work but the oil pressure. when i shut the boat off and turn the key back on the volts, fuel, and engine temp rise like it should oil pressure wont i checked all connections .  I have a 2000 S22

JJ,

This my be a silly thing, but are you sure the check engine light is actually on. sometimes in the sun it can look like it;s on when it;'s just the lighting conditions.

I have the same boat and had to run ground wire http://www.epicmarine.com/forum4/index.php?topic=1381.0 to solve many of my inaccurate gauge reading issues. I still have low oil pressure readings under various circumstances, but understand that can be fixed with a new oil pressure sensor.

Its On I unhook the wiring harness and it gos away. I don't think its in a limp mode but haven't had it out yet just ran off the fake a lake sounds great even when i throttle up no leaks  . I think the oil pressure gauge is just bad its the only one that don't work and it works great on the electronic display.   I will look into running a different ground . Any other suggestions

CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS NOW FIXED.    WHEN I FOGGED THE ENGINE WHEN I WINTERIZED IT I NEVER PUSHED THE PLUG IN GOOD ENOUGH ON ONE OF THE IGNITION COILS PERFECT NOW.
