Sorry I've been out of the loop for so long, but going six weeks with no boat when you live in a bad-ass vacation spot is the hardest thing I've ever had to go through. I think my trials and tribulations are
FINALLY over! When I spoke with the wizard my yard yacht didn't even run. New iridium plugs, countless fuel filters... nothing. (I still managed to put 40 hours on her from November until March!)
Nichtern didn't like the word "liability" at all, and without hesitation took my prototype-reject-junk SX, gutted it, and made her a new machine. All new MMDC, all new dash/guages, all new ballast system (original hard tanks, of course) and all new l.e.d. display setup for the ballast. -And a new rear seat cushion.
Yes, she purrs like a kitten. Under the biggest load she jumps out of the hole. -It also helps when you get the "bong-resin" out of your fuel intake screen. Ballast pumps also work great when there is no sand or screws lodged in the impeller.
Keep in mind that a very terrible person let these things happen to the yota, and none of this had to do with me.
Sorry to ramble, just wanted to thank those of you (you know who you are) that have helped me to never sell the Toyota and move to California. -And yes, 61% is no lie!
