Length of steering cable of Epic 21?

I have decided to replace the steering cable on my Epic 21 as rudder linkage looks good. Does anyone know if the Epic 21 is an 18' or 19' cable? In the parts diagram both lengths are listed but doesn't say which length for the 21. I would assume 18'?
Does anyone know if a Teleflex cable would work or do you have to get the Toyota part?

Please inspect cable within 2-3 feet of cable end there will be a part number. You will need to get it from local teleflex. Toyota mairne doesnt have any.

If anyone else needs to do this; length for Epic 21 is 18ft. OEM part number is SSC7218. Apparently no longer showing in Teleflex catalogs. I am replacing with Teleflex 4.2 NFB tilt steering kit. Part number is SS15718.

I am replacing the steering cable in my E21 too.  It appears that Teleflex replaced the SSC7218 with the SSC6118.  The newer part number uses a quick connect fitting on the helm side of the cable and it includes an adapter to make this cable work with the older threaded helm fitting.

Has anyone tried swapping the stock rotary style steering with a rack and pinion style setup like the Teleflex "the rack" ?  I've seen a few posts on other forums of people doing this in similar era correct craft and malibu boats with positive results.
