Questions and New to Site
« on: August 16, 2011, 21:32:10 pm »
Hey everyone!  Love the website!  I don't remember a ton about these boats but I worked at Phil Dill Boats (Dallas, Tx) in the early 2000's.  They were a Toyota dealer, briefly.  Never got a chance to go out in one but always thought they were really nice.  10 years later and I find you guys lol.  Anyways for my next boat I want to buy a ski/wake board boat.  Been looking at the Epic 22's and have some questions.

1.  How is the ride on a rough day?  At 30 I don't want to get beat up anymore.
2.  How is the slalom wake behind the sx22?  This is the boat I am considering.  I love the seating configurations in the V-drives and need the seating with a wife, 2 kids and one on the way.
3.  Any downsides to the small 93" beam?

4.  What would make a great family boat with good ski quality?

Thanks!

I ski behind my epic 21 and it is flawless.  i cant say anything about the 22 but my brother is a competition skier and says that my 99 still gives a great wake even compared to the new nautiques and disastercrafts

Epic 21 looks like a sweet slalom boat, but I have to have an open bow.  Also don't think the wife will go for direct drive due to lack of seating and not family friendly.

We've got an E22 that does very good with slalom wake.  We don't do enough wakeboarding to give a valid opinion there.  I understand through the forum that the SX22 is best for wakeboarding with the larger wake. but it hurts the slalom skiing.  Obviously you can do what ever you want behind any of these boats.  Our E22's biggest advantage is the Toyota reliability and incredible fuel efficiency.  You'll need to get in one to understand the silky smooth V8 and ski behind one to understand the power... 8)
