I use a block of wood between the hull and the prop.

I used a block of wood to wedge the prop in place for removal, but what keeps the prop shaft from spinning on prop install? My shaft has no key way...the prop does however. I'm not in favor of clamping the shaft with large vice grips but am at a stand still on a simple procedure. Advice?

you have to have a key way. are you sure you didnt drop it. or maybe left it on the prop when sent for repair.

Well I must've lost it. I looked all over can't seem to locate it in any of the parts that I have. Does anyone by chance have a spare or know the best place to locate one? My local marina was a strike out...

I'd recommend Discount Inboard Marine in Chapin, SC (30 minutes NW of Columbia). Great people to work with; very knowledgeable; all avid skiers.

Does anyone have the part number for a woodruff key for the driveshaft on eight epic 21? Atlanta Marine said they couldn't help me unless I had the part number.

MSP001017804 PropKey,For1"&1-1/8"PropShafts,1/4x1-7/8",Brass
just from the 1/4x 1-7/8 spec i would think they should be able to match it up

thanks W-junky. I ran over to my local Ace and found some 1/4 x 1-1/2" square keys, but they won't fit my keyway (too big for keyway) on my prop??? I'm going to call Atlanta marine and see what they can do with the part # or may order some bar stock from Mcmaster Carr and cut my own.

What happened? A step by step description would be helpful.
Do you have any pics? They could save a lot of typing and misunderstanding.
