No Spark
« on: June 02, 2013, 20:25:45 pm »
Went to Start the Epic today and no spark at any of the plugs, any suggestions.  The fuses seem to be good.  Boat ran great last fall before winterizing.

Thanks,
Tom

Thanks, I will try these.  I believe the gauges had power.  I will report back.  Any other suggestions would be welcome.

Check out the troubleshooting guide http://www.epicmarine.com/docs/Troubleshooting%20Guide.pdf .

If it is your kill switch lanyard, the guages won't come on and you won't hear the loud beeping, etc.

I will be trying all of your suggestions this weekend when I am able to get back out to my dad's garage and start working to eliminate potentials.  Hopefully the kill switch does the trick.  I will update then and ask for more suggestions based upon further symptoms if required.

Thanks to everyone, it was the kill switch lanyard.  All fixed now and good to go.

Thanks Terry, I was pretty sure I had followed all of your directions to a tee. Got 3 hours in this weekend. It was an easy fix. Checking in with a guy I met this weekend next weekend to start learning on a slalom course.  Will give you an update on how the learning is going.

Glad to hear it was an easy fix. Just shadow the balls the first few times to get your rhythm is my recommendation.
