S 22 tower
« on: July 28, 2004, 05:59:25 am »
I have looked the world over for a tower for my boat. Can you still get the OEM tower for a 2000 S 22? Does anyone know other towers that will fit?

Welcome to the board! To answer your question, as recently as last fall there were S22 towers available:

http://www.cyclone-cj.com/forum/index.php?board=1;action=display;threadid=77

Since then, who knows? Just gonna have to call an ex-dealer or your Toyota rep and ask what's in stock.

As far as aftermarket towers go, you might want to talk with breakawaydaze since he's just been looking for towers. I'd think most of the newer aftermarket towers would fit (Monster Tower, Phat Tower, etc.)

Hey Jason -- the place to check in Seattle is at Ski Masters Watersports in Kenmore.  Their new service guy is crap though...he's owed me a phone call for three weeks now.  Anyway, they should be able to hook you up with the tower, if they're still available.  Ski Masters phone number is 1-888-481-2754.   Or you might be better off calling Phil Dill in Texas, they seem to be among the more reputable...(though far from Seattle).

And I think you and I are the only two on this site from Seattle right now... if you ever want to hook up, let me know. I'm out of town for the next couple weeks, but am out in Meydenbauer Bay every sunny afternoon on weekdays, and all day on weekends.  Black and white X22 with a black tower, and usually loaded to capacity.

And if you get your boat serviced at Ski Masters, I'd be very curious to hear what your experience has been like with them.  I'm about to approach the owner about the new guy.

And if you have found somewhere else that will work on the boat, I want to know who!!!

Welcome to the site.

I have already been to ski masters, they were no help. They have a tower for a dd in stock, but want $3800.00 for the OEM V drive tower. As far as the new service guy, he was great for us. He got us the cd face that was stolen from the boat in thier storage yard in 3 days. We waited 3 months before he came. I am thinking of having a tower custom built, know any good fabricators?

I have a 2001 S22, and I put a new tower on last winter. I got it from sampson sports ins Washougal, Wa.  It is custom fit, brushed aluminum.  I also installed two lights front and two lights rear, along with two bad ass speakers. All wiring was installed inside the tower.  It really is a bitchin set up, and looks great. I will try to send pics at a later date. It was a little spendy $4100 for everything, installed.  I went top of the line for everything, no scrimpin on my water TOY.  You can reach Scott at Sampson Sports at 360-833-2507.  They already have a mold for an S22 tower.

Cyclone,

It is a custom tower, they have the mold for the tower and I just brought my boat in the am and picked it up in the pm, all lights, speakers, wiring, wakeboard rack all installed.  They did a great job.  I will submit pics asap, just got back from a killer trip to Lake Shasta.  We wakeboarded all week and toured the lake all on only one tank of gas.  Thank god for great fuel economy, since the best gas on the lake was only 91 octane.

pics on tower to come soon

Very cool. I am glad that you found one.  Here is a picture of our S22 and Mt. Baker, of course on Baker Lake.
