True, true, I am so fine. So are you, thanks for the info. The ACME guy was asking if the transmission and vdrive ratios cancelled each other out. Looks like they don't.

if the transmission and vdrive ratios truly cancelled out, then the gear reducer on the converter unit would not be necessary.  So the entire assembly would be much easier to overhaul when the pfetzer valve locks up.  Funny thing.!.

So, here's the scoop on my ACME. With the OJ 13X13 4-blade I had on my SX I had a great hole shot and got 32-33 mph at 6000 rpm at WOT. Called the ACME guys and got their recommendation. ACME 13X12 5/8 3-blade. Put it on and went for a ride. Had my normal crew and the ballast full about 1500 pounds. I'm no pro, but I couldn't tell a difference in the hole shot. At WOT, I was at 37-38 mph at 5900 rpm. It seemed like the same initial acceleration, but much more responsive to throttle movement on plane. When boarding at about 22 mph the rpms have dropped from about 4100 to 3500. It should give better mileage just because of the decrease in rpm. Also, less vibration and noise. I like the prop. My wife who knows nothing about props etc. said, "why is it driving so much better." THe only drawback that I can see is that it is a little harder to hold speed because the throttle is more sensitive at wakeboard speed.

Next, pp. I'm going to get it installed by Marine Products while I'm on vacation next week. Gotta go, the lake is calling.

Mmm, mmm, good. Spent the day at the lake with the full crew, boarding, tubing and just screwing around. I'm digging the ACME. Smooooottthhh.

Ok folks... so I purchased a used 99 Epic X22 last year... and it runs like a champ... while running aroung at Jordanelle resvoir in Park City (7000ft or so) I ran over a rather large, mostly submerged log and split it in two... I need a new prop because I know have pretty heavy cavataion and it won't pull out of the hole like it did... I was looking for some consultation on what to buy, but after reading this thread now I am more confused than I was before... we are really only ever on Jordanelle, but once a year or so will goto Powell...  should I just replace the factory prop with the same type or do I need to buy one of the Acme props everyone seem to be raving about... and if I do go ACME what info do I need b4 I call them...

Sorry... I love to Wakeboard, but don't know much about probs...

Cheers
-kyle

The acme prop is 13x11.5 and is designed for low end pull.  If you do not want to loose any top end speed don't get it.  You will loose about 5+ mph out of top end.  If you want to wakeboard and load it down with ballast and have a killer wake and a much more consistant pull, get it!  Just tell them which boat you have and how you want to use it and they will recommend the perfect prop for you.
