Why to replace exhaust Manifolds
« on: February 28, 2015, 02:26:02 am »
I have found on wakeboard boats if you don't keep fresh spark plugs changed each year you can get a misfire from excess fuel in the the exhaust manifold the backfire or ping will cause the fuel to ignite and the vibration of the exhaust can cause a crack in the exhaust tube.
Next is water in the exhaust valve and misfire or worse throw a rod, pit the top of the piston and head.

I have seen manifolds go bad at 1100 Hours in fresh water.
